With all the talk about how people are to be put to death for leaving Islam, I thought it would be fun to bring this scripture to light. I would imagine not too many Christians know about it, or would want to make it known to the world. This one is found in 2 Chronicles 15, and takes place during the reign of Asa, King of Judah. Asa was a great King....for a while. Then he decided to take matters into his own hands, (sounds like a certain pastor I know) but that came some time after this particular moment in scripture. (To get an idea of who Asa was, read chapters 14-16.) Granted, this is before Jesus Christ was on the scene. Nevertheless, the King that God found favor with, made this decree. This just does to show that Islam is not the only religion with this wording in its scripture. Now, this doesn't mean that Christians today hold to this philosophy. In the same light, there are Muslims who also don't hold to the same philosophy in Islam.
12 Then they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; 13 and whoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
